Richard Marchionda

A decorated wrestler, Richard graduated from Penn Yan Academy in 1962. Richard dominated on the mat in his four years at PYA, losing only one match (by one point). He was undefeated in 1960, 1961, and 1962. He won three Finger Lakes Championships and went on to win three Section Five Championships. Following high school, Mr. Marchionda went on to serve his country in the US Navy, spending eight years on a nuclear submarine. Richard joins his brother Larry, a 2014 Inductee, in the Hall of Fame.
