Design and Drawing for Production (Intro to Engineering Design) (PLTW) 1 credit
This is an introductory Engineering/Technology course which will set the stage for any technology class taken at PYA.
Ever wonder how a product goes from concept to the consumer’s hand? This class is for you! Learn what it means to be an engineer, solve problems, and communicate in today’s technical world. Students will learn how to attack a problem using a proven Engineering Design Process and will gain a solid foundation in both technical drawing and 3 dimensional modeling/prototyping using modern CAD software and 3D printing technology. This course fulfills the fine arts requirement needed for graduation.
Students have the opportunity to earn college credit through RIT.
*Recommended: Students be enrolled in Algebra IB, Algebra I or a higher level math course
