Agricultural Mechanics

Don’t take this class unless you are ready to learn a lot of new things in only 40 weeks. Get down and get “dirty” about learning how to weld and fabricate projects from mild steel. Use oxy-acetylene torches and acquire the skills of fusion welding, brazing, cutting, and shaping steel. Also learn what it takes to begin pursuing a career in mechanics by learning about engines, basic electrical wiring, plumbing and agricultural structures. Consider coming to the "shop" and developing mechanical engineering skills which you will use the rest of your life, no matter what your chosen occupation might be!

Students will have the opportunity to compete in the NY FFA Agricultural Mechanics Contest.
