Symptom and Surveillance Testing Consent Form

COVID-19 testing will be available for your child at the Penn Yan Central School. This is in accordance with the New York State School Reopening Plans. Yates County Public Health will have testing operations set up at the school on specific days and times each week. We will be able to test children and staff who have COVID-19 symptoms. We will also be conducting optional random surveillance testing on children that have no symptoms. (Please click title for full letter and consent form)

P-EBT Food Benefits Update

There will be a second payment of P-EBT food benefits for the 2020-21 school year in a single payment. The issuing of these payments started in late August. (Click Title to Continue)

Re-Opening Plan Fall 2021

The 2021-22 Penn Yan CSD Reopening Plan has been created through consultation with the CDC guidance and the Yates County Department of Health. Our goal with this reopening is to safely have all students back at school in the most traditional setting possible. (Click Title to Continue)

Student Vaccination Clinic at PYA

The Yates County Department of Health will be hosting a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Penn Yan Academy for Academy students. The clinic will be held from 12:30 -2:00pm on Friday, October 15th in the Penn Yan Academy Cafeteria. If you are interested in having your student vaccinated please call the Penn Yan Academy Main Office at 315-536-4408 ext.1 to sign up. Varsity Football Game Declared No Contest

The Penn Yan/Dundee Varsity Football game at Livonia tomorrow(10.2.21) has been declared a no contest due to the lack of available players on our team due to quarantining. All individuals who are required to quarantine will be contacted by the NYS Contact Tracers/Yates County Dept. of Health. Today's (10.1.21) varsity practice has also been cancelled out of an abundance of caution.

I'm sure that over the last few days you have seen a flurry of new information and guidelines coming from the Governor and State Department of Health. 2021 Fall Sports Code of Conduct

The mandatory Parent/Athlete/Coaches meeting originally scheduled for Thursday, August 19th has been changed to an online video. You will NOT need to come in person to the school tomorrow (8/19/21) evening. You can access the video on the Penn Yan Athletics Youtube page.
