Scheduling

 

At PYA, our school counselors are dedicated to helping students plan a meaningful and successful academic path. Each year, students in grades 9-11 meet with their counselor to select courses for the upcoming school year. Before Thanksgiving break, all students receive a course selection sheet along with instruction on how to access the course offerings booklet. This guide is a valuable resource, providing an overview of the scheduling process, graduation requirements, dual enrollment opportunities, and detailed descriptions of the courses available at PYA.

 

Current 8th grade students and parents will receive information focusing on the scheduling process and opportunities that are available at the high school. Middle school counselors will also meet individually with 8th grade students to help them choose their courses for 9th grade. 

 

Course requests for all students will be mailed home alongside third quarter report cards. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to make changes to your student's course selections, reach out to your PYA school counselor!
