Burt Fingar

Following two years of basketball at Hammondsport, Burt played basketball at Penn Yan Academy during the 1951-1953 seasons. He was the starting guard for the 1951-1952 team that reached the Class A finals. He led Penn Yan in scoring during that campaign. He was named to the Democrat and Chronicle’s Greater Rochester All-Star Team in 1952. Burt played in two basketball leagues following graduation. Burt coached various youth sports teams and was an active supporter of Penn Yan Academy Athletics.
